It seems Tata is ready to try its luck in all segments, in its attempt to gain market share. Just as we got newer details on smaller car Kite, new reports have surfaced that the Indian manufacturer is working on a more premium hatchback, which will be placed above the upcoming Bolt.
As per a report published on Zigwheels.com, the Pune based manufacturer aims to launch a premium hatchback by the end of 2016 or early 2017. There is a possibility that they may unveil the car at the 2016 Auto Expo. The car will be based on an all-new platform, which can be modified to be used for sedans (compact or mid-size). What makes everything more interesting is that Tata might also be working on a new range of petrol as well as diesel engines built specifically for this new hot hatch and related products.
