Toyota ETIOS Hatchback
As we were waiting “bang bang Bangalore” for the much awaited launch of the Toyota Etios mid-size car. Bookings for both the sedan as well as the hatchback Etios Liva have begun and you can book yours at a price of just Rs. 50,000. However, deliveries will start from January 2011. We would also like to inform buyers that the Etios Liva (hatchback version) will be available only after April 2011.
At present Toyota can produce 70,000 Etios sedans and Liva models at its Bidadi plant. The company plans on increasing the capacity if need be but by the looks of it, long waiting periods seem inevitable. The Etios sedan will compete with the likes of Indigo Manza and Swift Dzire. We think with competitive pricing Toyota will have an edge over its rivals mainly because of its snob value.
